Abstract
Four plum cultivars grafted on Myrobalan and Wangenheim Prune seedlings and on vegetatively propagated Pixy and GF 655/2 were planted at Dabrowice Experimental Station, central Poland, in spring 1991. Trunk cross area (TCA), yield and mean fruit weight were mesured annually.
In the sixth year from planting trees of all cultivars had the largest TCA on Myrobalan seedlings and the smallest on Wangenheim Prune seedlings.
Pixy and GF655/2 showed a medium vigour, but close to Wangenheim Prune seedling.
Large trees on Myrobalan rootstock produced the highest yield.
The differences in yield among the other rootstocks were rather small.
There were no differences between rootstock in tree productivity.
Trees on Pixy produced the smallest fruit.
