Abstract
In this study the variability of different Prunus domestica trees was estimated by the hardwood cuttings method and a scale in response to A. tumefaciens infection was established.
Among 84 clones tested, nine clones, all belonging to the GREENGAGE clonal population, were found more resistant than the control P 8–13. The most resistant clones will be used in breeding programs by crosses with resistant clones for other stresses to create genetically interesting Prunus rootstocks.
