Abstract
In 1990 six clones of ‘Greengage’ plum cultivar were grafted on eight advanced rootstock selection and planted in a loam and dry soils of Alentejo region.
Seven years after planting significant differences were observed in vigour, accumulated yield per tree, ºBrix and root suckering.
Myrobalans P 1254 and P 2032 were the most vigorous with Pixy and Citation presenting the lower level of growth.
The accumulated crop per tree was similar on GF 8.1, GF 10.2, Isthara and P 1254, higher on Julior and P 2032 and significantly lower on Pixy and Citation.

Rootstocks significantly influenced content of Ca, K, P, Mg and Bo in leaves.
A positive effect on Ca concentration in leaves by the GF 10.2 and in K by the Julior is evident.
