Abstract
Pistacia atlantica is one of the most important jungle species in the west of Iran.
Markazi province is important in this area with 2216 ha of natural jungles of Pistacia atlantica.
Eurytoma plotnikovi
is one of the most important pests of this tree that damage seeds every year.
As a result, it causes reduction yield and natural fertility.
In this research, we have done crossing between 18 genotypes from 5 areas of the province as male parent and female parent was from Lajvar area (Sarband). Therefore, the experiment was done in 18 treatments and 4 replicates.
There was a control treatment for each replicate that had natural pollination.
The rate of damage caused by Eurytoma plotnikovi was compared after collecting full-sibs.
The results showed that there was a significant difference between treatments at 5%. The damage was the lowest on Fark2, Nazarkardeh4, Charkhe3, Fark1, Lajvar4, Fark4, with 4.4, 4.5, 12.4, 23.8, 24.8, 25.6 percent of damaged seeds and were higher on Lajvar1, Fark3, Charkheh2, Ashtian2, Lajvar3 and Nazarkardeh 3 with 51.4, 45.1, 39.3, 38.3 and 37.6 percent seeds that were infested by Eurytoma plotnikovi.
