DENSE PLANTATIONS OF APRICOT-TREE
It is very good as a product for modification and consumption in the fresh state.
Its expanding is limited by the reason of sensibility to low temperatures and very early perishing of fruit-trees.
The aim of this experiment was:
- To find out a such possibility to fruitful the plantation as soon earlier.
- To increase yields per unit square and
- To reduce the influence of the prior perishing of fruit-trees.
Object : The experimental plantation is raised 1975, in the Institute of Fruit Production-Skopje; where was investigated the sort Mad*arka on the rootstock apricot-tree.
The soil is aluviale-deluvials, limestone with 16,13 mg/% CaCO3; 0,66 mg/% P2O5 ; 8,9/% K2O and 8,19 pH of water.
The apricot-tree good grow on this soil.
Climate : In the region of Skopje it is moderate-continental with the certain influence of the mediteranean climate.
In accord to many-yearth meteorological’s data, the average annual temperature of the air is amounting 12,1°C; absolute maximale 40,3°C; and absolute mini-male –22,6°C. The annual sum of temperature is 4 442°C, while the vegetative is 3 906°C. The sum of rain is 528,8 mm from which 292 mm or 55,2% is during the vegetation.
The climate is very favourable for growing on apricot-tree.
