TRENDS OF CHANGES IN STRAWBERRY PRODUCTION IN POLAND IN THE YEARS 1966–1985

Abstract
The paper deals with the configuration of trends (calculated by curvilinear regression analysis) in the acreage of strawberry plantations, yields (per hectare), crops, prices, productivity (yield x price), and its relation to rye and sugar beet, as well as the differences in strawberry production (crops per inhabitant) between the particular provinces.

In this period crops of strawberries increased due to the increase of cultivation acreage and yields.
The increase of productivity depended mainly on a tenfold increase in the price which was particularly rapid during 1981–1985.

The strawberry productivity was over 6 times higher than that of rye and nearly twice higher than of sugar beet.

The production per capita oscillated from less than 1 kg per one person to above 40 kg/1 person in the particular provinces.
