Abstract
The level of employment in outdoor vegetable production in Poland is high.
On the investigated farms, employment in the year 1986 in relation to 1970 was considerably lower, mainly because of a lower level of organization intensity of these farms.
In total labour input, the most important was family man-power and specifically the labour of persons steadily employed on the farm.
In this group, the greatest number of persons in a year worked more than 3 thousand man-hours annually.
