Abstract
The purpose of the work is to recognize the level and variation of yields of vegetable seeds in Poland in the period 1959–1985. Half of the investigated species showed a growing trend of yields, with the biggest coefficients for three of them, i.e.: celery, cauliflower and onion (positive coefficient of trend b was from 3.89% to 1.95%). It has been noticed that, the biggest decrease of seed was in the case of leek (b = -6.02%). The scale of variation of seed yields of the examined species was very wide.
Leek, letttuce and cucumber belong to the group with the biggest variation coefficient (Vt from 83.3% to 59.5%). Radish and parsley (Vt ca. 22%) belong to the group with the lowest variation coefficient.
