Abstract
Two new auxin analogues have been tested for their effect on fruit development of tomatoes.
They were applied either as a foliar spray during bloom of each cluster at rates from 0.062–1.0 g a.i./ha or by cluster spray or dip treatment from 4–15 ppm. 4-CPA or hydroxy-MCPA was used as comparison.
The new auxin bioregulators enhanced fruit set, yield, and quality.
The best treatment was the foliar and cluster spray which was superior to the standards.
