Abstract
Crop diversification is wel come feature (Duke and Terrell, 1974) Asparague was introduced in South Indian tropics of Bangalore and Dharwad.
Seed propagated asparagus grew unintereptedly through the year into a bush producing stems, flowers and seed.
Each clump of an year old plant speared out 14–27 spears weighing about 70–301 g.
Bangalore was at advantage than Dharwad.
