Abstract
Current and potential uses of growth regulators to influence fruit set are discussed, together with those factors which limit commercial use.
Several means of increasing the effectiveness of the gibberellins in fruit setting are suggested, as well as experimental approaches toward an understanding of the mechanism whereby growth regulators mobilize metabolites to the area of application.
