Abstract
Nematodes in soil and root samples from two banana and four plantain cultivars were sieved out using Bearman funnel technique.
The following three plant parasitic nematodes were identified: Meloidogyne sp., Helicotylenchus multicinctus and Helicotylenchus dihystera.
The last one, a nematode hitherto not reported to occur in Ghana was found associated with five of the cultivars.
