Abstract
Of the seven Hawaiian pawpaw cultivars tested, three Solo cultivars, Sunrise, Andy and Waimanalo, exhibited good quality and size for export.
They also yielded well and appeared well adapted to environmental conditions at Kumasi.

Fruits from both female and hermaphroditic trees may be utilized since no significant difference was found in quality.
Yield was greater in some Solo strains on female trees as compared to that on hermaphrodite-flowered trees.
