STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH LITERATURE ON THE GENUS ZIZIPHUS MILL.

Abstract
A total of 1014 research papers on the genus Ziziphus Mill. were searched out from Agris, Agricola and CABI tabloid database between 1990 and 2007 using search words “Ziziphus”, and its synonym “Zizyphus” and English name “Jujube”. The results showed that China, India and Korea Rep. were the three leading countries in the research on genus Ziziphus Mill., which accounted for 44.9, 28.6 and 6.5% of the total papers, respectively. “Jujube” is more popularly used in the paper title in China and Korea Rep., and “Ziziphus” and “Zizyphus” were more commonly used in India and USA. The main research institutions for the genus Ziziphus Mill. in China included Agricultural University of Hebei, Shanxi Agricultural University, etc.; CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Rajasthan Agricultural University, etc., in India; Chongbuk National University, Yeungnam University, etc., in Korea Republic.
The main international sci-tech journals according to the number of donation country for publishing papers on the genus Ziziphus Mill. included Phytochemistry (8 nations), Acta Horticulturae (5 nations) and Journal of Horticultural Science (4 nations). The main domestic journals for the genus Ziziphus Mill. included China Fruits (China), Acta Horticulturae Sinica (China), J. of Fruit Science (China) and Haryana J. of Hort.
