PRELIMINARY RESEARCH OF PERSIAN WALNUT AND CORRELATION BETWEEN PAIR CHARACTERS.

Iran is known as one of the most important center for origin of walnuts.
There are many variations in seed plants which are growing around the country.

In this research we have found important relations between some important characters for persian walnuts.
All relations between pair characters has been computed by mean of the regression method on a computer program.

In this study we used more than 250 genotypes of walnuts growing in different production areas.
We found regression lines equation between pair characters, that can be an important aid for selection of cultivars.
Also were found behavioral characters, which are important for cultivation of persian walnut cultivars.
