Abstract
A technological line of machines for mechanizing of harvesting and handling of walnut fruits has been developed in the Fruit Growing Institute – Plovdiv,Bulgaria.
It consists of a self-propelled or mounted one-unit or two-unit fruit-picking machine for shaking trunks or branches, stripping trees of fruit 97% and catching the removed nuts 96% in mechanized unfolding collecting frames with capacity up to 50–60 trees per hour;a dump trailer for filling up transportation of the gathered production;an immovable production line for wet inertia peeling of the green flakes 94–97%, cleaning 99%,washing,calibrating into four fractions 90,32% according to the smallest of all cross-sectional diameters and additional cleaning of nutshells by means of friction 96–98%.

The use of a technological line provides a productivity of a ton per hour picked and manipulated production by 8 persons service staff and increases the labour productivity 12.5 times.

Nothing has been decided yet as to the drying problem in regard to the complete mechanization of technology.
