Among the production problems, non-availability of suitable root-stocks and superior scion strains; lack of standard propagation techniques and inadequate knowledge of cultural practices have been identified and discussed.
The protection problem include non-availability of proper plant protection machinary, water, plant protection chemicals and gaps in knowledge of pests and diseases of walnuts.
Processing constrains, at present are by-for the most important factors that contribute to low returns.
