Abstract
Within the indigenous generative population of Juglans regia L. were studied, in pre-selection in-situ, more than 25000 walnut trees.
From these number for further study (after elimination of negative accessions in-situ) were chossen 20 types only.
But, for the comparative investigation was selected the best type 1, type 3, type 6, type 15 and type 17, which are named as Jasenica, Vujan, Ibar, Ovcar and Trbušanski kasni, respectively.

The mentioned walnut cultivars have a pretty good biological and commercial characteristics as time of blooming, ripening, regular and good yields, fruit qualitative factor, commercial value, as well as more or less resistant to frost and to Gnomonia juglandis.
