Abstract
In January 1993, a group of apricot selections from apricot breeding programmes carried out in France, Italy and Greece, were planted in the collection of the Departamento de Mejora y Patología Vegetal at Murcia, Spain.
In this study, the flowering and ripening dates for each selection during 1995 and 1996 were recorded.
Also, this last year, ripening dates were compared to those of two main Murcian cultivars within the medium-late season.
Full bloom of the selections ranged in 1995 from March 2nd to 15th and in 1996 from March 20th to April 1st. Ripening during 1995 went on from June 1st to 29th and in 1996 from June 5th to July 7th.
In 1996 the productive behaviour of the selections was evaluated from 1 to 5 as an average from 4 trees for each selection.
Most of them had an excellent production.
