Abstract
The equipment for treatment of fruit tree shoots with chemical mutagens has been devised, in which a treated scion is inserted into vinyl pipe, connected with vacuum pump.
This method of treatment with chemical mutagens seems to be promising in woody plants because it gives better penetration of mutagenic agents than in the case of external treatment.
On the base of preliminary experiments 5 min. treatment and some doses of three different mutagens are recommended.
