Abstract
It was found that
-indoleacteic acid (IAA) or
-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) applied in lanolin paste below the flower bud in plants with excised leaves in the early stage of growth after cooling caused normal elongation of the stem and flower bud blasting occurred.
However, application of IAA or NAA on the stigma in plants after excision of all leaves stimulated the growth of the pistil, stem elongation was accelerated and normal development of the perianth was observed.
