Abstract
Crossing L. x hollandicum X L. ‘Tabasco’ – a hybrid species with an early, upright cultivar from the Mid-Century Hybrids, fairly well filled seed pods, with well developed and well germinated seeds were obtained.
After 15 years of selection works, propagation of bulbs, forcing trials, comparison investigations and two years of state tests, we obtained a new Polish quick cultivar ‘Prima’ – especially suitable for the very early forcing season.
The hybrid plants of the above mentioned cross were estimated according to the time of flowering, color of flowers and height of the plants.
