Abstract
Fusarium oxysporum (Snyd. et Hans) was isolated from imported Ixia bulbs.

Ixia, Freesia and Iris, while Gladiolus, Hyacinth, Narcissus and Muscari were immune.
As this fungus could not be attributed to Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. gladioli, we propose the provisional denomination of "pathotype F".
This pathotype was used for disinfection tests on bulbs with traditional benzimidazole fungicides, alone or mixed with Captafol, and with a product based on Prochloraz.
