Abstract
Plant production through micropropagation alone does not guarantee freedom from diseases.
This is achieved by employing sophisticated and sensitive techniques for the detection of fungal, bacterial, mycoplasmal, viral and subviral pathogens.
Once detected, any of these pathogens can be eliminated by meristeming combined with thermo and chemotherapy.
