Abstract
The extensive variety of Juglans regia L. allowed to single out in range of this species valuable genetic populations which gave a good effect in breeding and practice of horticulture.
Using the hybridization method and experimental mutagenesis, forms with higher resistance to Gnomonia leptostyla (Ces. et de Not Kleb) and to its imperfect fungus Marsonia juglandis Magn. at their early fruit bearing have been created.
The forms with bunch type of fruit bearing and restrained growth also have been selected; new cultivars with higher protein content are recommended to fruit growers.
