Abstract
The xylem bleeding of walnut was collected by stages from November 1, 1986 to April 26, 1987; and the composition of which was analyzed.
There were two peaks for the bleeding in the whole dormant season, which were from Nov. 15 to 25, 1986 and from March 25 to April 14, 1987, respectively.
In the bleeding, there was a great quantity of soluble sugar, nitrogen, 14 kinds of mineral elements, 7 kinds of amino acids, little phenols and trace juglone.
