Abstract
In order to generate technology for the nursery production of agave an experiment was set up to evaluate the performance of the in vitro propagation of Agave durangensis plants in different substrates (tezontle, tepojal and compost ovine manure in various mixtures). The experimental design consisted of completely randomized blocks with five repetitions.
The variables evaluated were: survival, number of leaves, width and length of leaves.
T5 registered the best results, followed by T3; both have in common the addition of manure.
It is important to pursue with the evaluation of other substrates that due to their availability and yield may be viable for the production of agave plants.
