Abstract
The present study is aimed at ascertaining the genetic uniformity of the nuclear genome of mother plant and its tissue cultured progenies of strawberry in order to establish true-to-type character through enhanced axillary branching micropropagation by employing ISSR-PCR molecular marker.
The study yielded monomorphic bands in all the seven UBC dinucleotide motif primers.
The results concluded that the tissue culture raised plantlets of strawberry are genetically identical and clonally uniform at least up to the 15th culture passage.
