APPLICATION OF LEAF ANALYSIS ON KIWIFRUIT ORCHARDS IN NORTHERN ITALY

Abstract
Leaf analysis as a method of measuring the nutritional status of the trees in "Actinidia deliciosa" orchards has been studied over three year period in three different areas.

The primary conclusions arising from this survey is that : a) there was a trend toward optimum leaf concentration of all the major nutrients; b) leaf mineral content was affected by year, district and sampling time.
Differences between "male" and "Hayward" were found too; c) there were some significant relationships between minerals.
