Abstract
The large number of physiological studies has confirmed that gibberellins (GAs) and cytokinins play a critical role during floral differentiation and development.
It has been reported that the combination of gibberellin and cytokinin was able to promote synergistically the direct regeneration of floral buds from the cultures of floral buds and sepal segments in Sinningia speciosa Hiern.
In this paper, we researched regeneration of floral buds from the petal segments of S. speciosa. The results showed that the direct regeneration of floral buds from petal segments was promoted by GA3 and BA more effectively than from sepal segments.
