Abstract
GFLV-infected samples from different regions of Iran were subjected to sanitation treatments consisting of meristem-tip culture and thermotherapy.
The survey study confirmed the occurrence of GFLV in previously reported areas in Iran.
Results also shown the GFLV infection in new regions, e.g. some nurseries located in Karaj and Naghadeh.
Both sanitation protocols significantly reduced the level of infection, however, a combination of meristem-tip culture and heat therapy produced 100% virus-free material from the cultivars Bidaneh Sefid and Sharoodi.
