Abstract
The acid invertase activity in the shoot and in other organs of intact growing tulips and in the IAA-induced shoot and other organs was determined.
It was found that invertase activity was highest in internodes during their active elongation both in intact growing plants and IAA-induced shoots.
Wilting of shoots in both treatments was connected with low activity of the enzyme.
