Abstract
The influence of BA combined with NAA, in the concentrations of: 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0 and 5.0 mg/l, on the growth and development of shoot tips cv. ‘Lena’ was investigated.
The explants grew on the basic medium containing mineral salts according to Murashige and Skoog /1962/. The medium containing 0.5 mg/l BA and 0.1 mg/l NAA is the best to obtain multiplantlets from shoot apices.
The optimal concentration for the growth of shoots was 0.5 mg/l BA, the greatest number of adventitious shoots appeared on the medium with 1.0 mg/l BA.
