Abstract
Comparative investigation was carried out on biological activity of endogenous growth regulators in meristematic tissue of the orchid Cymbidium, treated or not treated with ionizing radiation before.
After 5 weeks culture in vitro the meristematic tissue was treated one time with ionizing radiation of 60Co in 0.8, 20.0, and 70 kR doses.
After 5 weeks culture in vitro the meristematic tissue was treated one time with ionizing radiation of 60Co in 0.8, 20.0, and 70 kR doses.
The exposition dose 0.8 kR proved to stimulate the growth and development of protocorms, the dose 20.0 kR totally inhibited the growth, and 70.0 kR was a lethal one.
In the meristematic tissue which had not been treated, high activity of endogenous growth regulators such as gibberellins, auxins and cytokinins was stated.
In the tissue treated with gamma-rays the activity of gibberellin, auxin, cytokinin-like substances changed.
