Abstract
Experiments were carried out concerning the effect of growth regulators on the rooting of Rhododendron simsii, Leucothoe fontanesiana, Vaccinium vitis-idaea, Calluna vulgaris, Erica tetralix, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi and Rhododendron catawbiense cuttings.

Application of growth regulators usually enhanced the rooting processes.
The 100 ppm of IBA solution /24 hr treatment/ was generally better than IAA, at the same concentration.
The concentrated talcum preparations of IBA and its concentrated solutions /1.0 – 5.0 g per liter/ caused beneficial responses in rooting of cuttings.

Boron /as boric acid/ and its mixture with IBA or IAA improved the rooting of V. vitis-idae and A. uva-ursi cuttings.
