Abstract
Investigation was carried out upon biological activity of some endogenous growth regulators in developing shoots of the orchid Cymbidium.
In both vegetative and inflorescance shoots high activity of cytokinins was noted.
In the inflorescence shoots however, other active cytokinins were found than in the vegetative ones.
Higher activity of auxins and abscisic acid was not noted in the shoots under investigation.
Biological activity of gibberellin-like substances has not been noted in vegetative shoots, whereas there was some in the inflorescence ones.
This fact is probably connected with the longitudinal growth of shoots.
