Abstract
The regeneration ability of leaf fragments of Peperomia scandens and Peperomia eburnea was studied, and activity of some endogenous growth regulators was established.
Peperomia scandens regenerated plantlets on all the combinations of Murashige and Skoog’s medium, while Peperomia eburnea produced only callus and roots.
On the medium without growth regulators, in both species, regeneration was not observed.
Biotests showed lack of activity of auxin-like and ABA type substances, and high activity of cytokinin-like regulators.
Only in the case of Peperomia eburnea low activity of gibberellin-like substances was observed.
