Abstract
Microcuttings, young leaves and cotyledons from mature seed were used as explants to evaluate micropropagation using buds, and regeneration from callus cultures.
Murashige and Skoog medium with half strength nitrogen was compared to Schenk-Hildebrandt medium zeatin riboside, 6-BAP, kinetin, 2iP, GA3, TIBA, NAA were tested individually and in combination.
The presence of GA3 in combination with zeatin riboside improved node formation.
Morphogenesis was achieved from globular calli on leaves and from nodular structures on cotyledons on SH medium with a high concentration of NAA and 6-BAP in combination.
