CHANGES OF PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS OF STRAWBERRY PLANTLETS IN VITRO UNDER INDUCTIVE CONDITIONS

Abstract
The aim of this research was to obtain new information about the development of phenolic compounds of strawberries maintained under inductive in vitro rooting conditions (short daylength, low temperature) and to discuss these results regarding to flower bud induction.In inductive in vitro rooting conditions, at different periods, plantlets were extracted for thin layer chromatography (TLC) and obtained total 24 various compounds in chromatographic analysis.
Before rooting period, the number and the intensity of phenolic compounds were high in plantlets and then decreased by starting the rooting.
Beside this new phenolic compounds were determined, too.
In inductive in vitro rooting medium by comparing with normal in vitro rooting conditions were observed four different phenolics belonging to the phenylpropane group.
