Abstract
Experiments on NAA-thinning of olives showed that effectiveness of application depended on length of the bloom period.
NAA applied from FB+7 to FB+22 caused an initial increase in fruit retention and higher abscission later on.
Results are discussed in relation to competition among fruits.
