GROWTH REGULATION BASED ON SELF-REGULATING SYSTEM OF FRUIT TREES

Sectorial double pruning and its variant were examined on sweet cherry, sour cherry, apricot, plum, apple, but they can also be applied to other fruit tree species.
This special operation was compared with traditional pruning and with bending.

Correlative mechanical pruning and its variant were examined first of all on apple and sweet cherry, but preliminary trials showed the same effects on other fruit tree species.
This special mechanical operation was compared to the effect of the usual mechanical pruning (topping, hedging).
