Abstract
The addition of 1% NAA to the emulsion paint or Funaben 3 used to treat spring pruning cuts in Bancroft apple trees reduced the number and weight of water shoots by 42% and 50% respectively, and significantly increased Ca content, extractable solids and total organic acids in the fruit.
