The influence of different doses of pelletized organic fertilizer from poultry farms on round pepper crop

In order to study the effect of different doses of pelletized organic fertilizer from poultry farms on round pepper yield an experiment was conducted during 2021-2022 growing season in Vidra, Ilfov region of Romania.
The experiment was randomized complete block design with three replications.
The treatments included the following experimental variants: V1 = 200 g fertilizer m^‑2 (2 t ha^‑1); V2 = 300 g fertilizer m^‑2 (3 t ha^‑1); V3 = 400 g fertilizer m^‑2 (4 t ha^‑1); V4 = 500 g fertilizer m^‑2 (5 t ha^‑1) and V5 = without organic fertilizer.
The results showed that fertilization with pelletized organic fertilizer from poultry farms manure in doses between 2-5 t ha^‑1 brings increases in yield compared to the control that received only chemical fertilization.
The pepper yield increases were between 1.9 and 7.5 t ha^‑1, which is an increase between 5 and 23% compared to the control that did not receive organic fertilizer.
The variants to which 2 or 3 t ha^‑1 were applied obtained modest yield increases (5-11%), the more consistent yield increase being recorded when 4 or 5 t ha^‑1 were applied (120-123%). Phytotoxic effects were not observed in any of the variants.
The results of the biochemical analyzes showed that in the variants to which the organic fertilization was applied, the content mineral elements had insignificant variations compared to the control variant.
